You're likely thinking of Proraso (readily available at Shoppers Drug Mart), as I've never seen it sold here. AFAIK it's online only.

Sorry - not sold in Canada. I buy mine from a couple of different English on-line drug stores. I can't recall the name right now... But they are easy to find.

I get mine from Connaught in the UK, 2 sticks for under $7 delivered and only 6 days from the UK to my door.

The price has recently doubled in the UK for Palmolive sticks from £0.48 ($0.74) to £1 in some stores. Traditional wet shaving is definitely making a comeback

I walked into my local Asda and bought two sticks for 78 pence each I think, they're really cheap anyways. Great soaps

Connaught shavings probably the best bet ordering from the US, or you could try arko, also a great soap, bit more expensive and I prefer it to the palmolive stick

In the US, Arko is generally less expensive than the Palmolive. Arko averages for about $2 while the Palmolive is usually around $3-$4.

I really like the Palmolive sticks. I've been using different soaps with a safety razor but when I got my Genco Old Dutch straight razor back from being sharpened I went straight to the Palmolive for the first few straight razor shaves. Seems like rubbing the soap into my beard creates a slick coating that I don't always get from more expensive soaps I mix in a shave mug.

I was in our local supermarket the other day and naturally had a quick look at the shave section just in case they had anything other than the canned foam stuff. Low and behold they had 50g Palmolive shave sticks.
I believe it was $1.80 AUD. Funny enough I have never tried it myself.

I might have to try one, too. I've only used an Arko stick, and I'm not really all that enamoured with the smell of Arko, though it lathers OK...
