I will order another Tabac when this one runs out.
But considering a cake is quite large and I only use
it 2 days a week, that will be a while.

I will definately second Firestart concerning Colleen's
soap. I ordered a small size cake of her Sandalwood
and used it for the first time today..... great stuff.

I think I will probably order a soap from Colleen, as everyone speaks so highly of her products. It means I'll have to buy yet another mug though, and my girlfriend is getting irate enough every time something new appears in the bathroom. Just this morning it was "is that Erasmic and that Ingram new, or did you have those before?" . . . . "erm".

I just ordered this soap earlier too, handmade by a soapmaker in the UK.

I get these soap bowls for $7 at Zellers (about 3.5GBP). Perfect diameter for Colleen's soaps, deep enough to work up a nice lather and they look great. I already have 4, but I should buy 1-2 more lol.

FRAGRANCE NOTES - lavender, citrus, and warm floral.

This is a very good soap.

I'll chime in here as I've had the good fortune to have recently tried both Tabac and Colleen's soaps (specifically her Orange Patchouli and Desert Ironwood). I too was inspired to order the Tabac after watching Lynn's DVD. You know - that guy is like the Alan Greenspan of straight razor shaving - as soon as he mentions something, the markets respond immediately! I understand he’s solely responsible for the world-wide escalation in price of Dubl Duck Satinedges…

My experience suggests that both are really good products. My only issue with the Tabac (and it has nothing to do with formulation or performance) is that I tried to lather it up in the little jar it came in. Bad idea (on my part, I mean)... There's just not enough room on top of the soap to generate a good lather without making a total mess. BUT, it is otherwise very good stuff - nice lather and a great scent, IMHO. I plan to give it a fair shake in a larger mug/bowl...

Colleen's soaps, on the other hand... are utterly fantastic! The best lather I've gotten to date (and I’ve tried a bunch of soaps lately…), intoxicating scents, great lubrication - I find them to be truly world class. I’ve also found Colleen’s soaps to have the capacity to suspend more water in the lather than others I’ve tried for some reason, and that tends to make for a much closer, more comfortable shave for me. Colleen's soaps are the best I've found so far, bar none. (Pardon the pun...)

And yes, I have recently begun to refer to my various shaving mugs, bowls and other mixing vessels euphemistically as “Tribbles”…
