I picked mine up in Little Tokyo at a place that sells Japanese china...little sushi bowls and so forth. $5. It's called a chashaku and is intended to scoop tea during the ceremonial tea service.

A popsicle stick will work in a pinch, You can coat it with Poly if your so inclined. I still like the little spoons they have at Target and Walmart.

I use a pastic stick, the wet brush always leaves water into the cream jar
