Exclamation Need help! Trying to find a certain shave soap

Alright, friends. I need a little expertise. My boyfriend (who also uses this site) has a birthday next week. He has no idea I've joined the site, I'm trying to surprise him. I've looked everywhere for D.R. Watson shave soap and accessories, which is what he wants. Can someone direct me to where I would find this? Also, I need suggestions for a good strop/shave brush. My mom found him a neat shave brush in an antique store, and he says it's good but neither one of us know what company it's from. Thanks!

Silly question (from me, that is), but do you mean the famous D.R. Harris? I've never heard of D.R. Watson, but that's not to say it doesn't exist.

BTW - Welcome to SRP. Any chance you'll be learning to use a straight razor as well? We do have a Lady's Section as well....

    Hi Ryan -
    Thanks for responding so fast!
I was almost positive he said D.R. Watson, but I could be 100% wrong. He has mentioned D.R. Harris as well, so if you could help me out with that I'd greatly appreciate it!
I did see the ladies section - to be honest, I'm quite terrified of the straight razor myself. He has tried to get me to use one for about a year.

I was thinking the same thing, but after googling I found there is a Dr. Watson cologne, its made by Nevermore bodyworks. Not sure if this is the stuff you're looking for, you may have to do some subtle investigationg to find out for sure what he wants.

Like Catrent said, there is Nevermore Bodyworks and they sell a "Dr. Watson Shaving Soap Paste Men Shave Vanilla Wood"; however it's sold out ATM. I found it on Etsy, dunno if I'm allowed to post a link, but I will anyway... A mod can edit this if it's not allowed.

Scroll down and you'll see the container.

I thought you meant Dr. Harris also, but it's hard to confuse hearing Harris or Watson.
The Watson soap paste looks like salve, but who knows, it could be very good...

    Description
This perfect blend has top notes of Black Pepper, Lemon, and Violet leaf. Just like Dr. Watson a complex center of Cumin, Coriander, and Ginger, with a bit of jasmine on his top coat and his leather shoes to help you notice him as he walks by. He will leave the rome (sic) in a whirlwind of oak moss, Musk, Amber, Apple and Patchouli and thanks to Mr. Holmes a hit of tobacco!

This rich & creamy shaving soap brings you all the benefits of goat's milk and shea butter, but in a paste form.
This extra-rich soap will leave your skin feeling very soft and smooth. If you are looking for a gentle shaving soap that is super thick, give this a try!
Find a sneaky way to get the name just to make sure.

    EDIT:
Nevermore Bodyworks has a number of shaving soaps and they actually sound pretty interesting. Lots of other products as well.

Got it! I will definitely try that site. I'll also see if I can trick him into telling me the name again.

I also ordered him the Clubman Pinaud Special Reserve after shave. He has all of the others but I know he doesn't have this one. Thoughts?

Clubman is the "good-ole" stuff, definitely one of the classics. I'm sure he will be happy about it.

Pinaud I think is one of those love/hate products, I can't stand any of it. If he uses it and enjoys it, then you probably can't go wrong with buying it as most Pinaud users I've seen enjoy the Special Reserve. You can never go wrong buying more aftershaves, I love trying them and having a nice selection.
