Thread: MDC Group Buy

We're trying to put together a group buy for MDC (Martin De Candre) What I need is someone who's fluent in French. BenjamanBarker is helping me out (Thank You), and has been in contact with MDC. You can contact either one of us. There is a small problem with the language barrier, even with the Google translator. For something of this magnitude, there can be no misunderstandings. I would ask to keep your interest at this point to a minimum. This is mearly to get things going, and see what MDC can supply. Once I have the details in place, I'll start another thread and make a formal announcement. Thank you

That's great, Rich! I wish I could help you out, but contrary to popular belief not every Canadian speaks French

That being said, we do have more than one member from Quebec so hopefully someone can step forward to help out.

I am a HS Teacher at a large and affluent high school. I hhave a French teacher I am very good friends with. However, her time is at a premium. 'if I can com to her with some more specifics, it would be helpful. I'm sure we can work soemthing out.

Let me know by PM what we need/want. I can broker an arrangement in the next day or two.

I have access to several talented French speaking folks. If emails are needed, please let me know. Glad to help.

Ermmm.... forgive me if this seems overly simplistic, but why don't you just do what so many of us have done and use their English-language website?

I do believe he has found that, the request was more aimed at finding someone to assist in communicating with them via mail/phone etc.

This is correct. As Zib mentioned we can have no misunderstanding with this and the above site has not responded to emails in both English and French and the responses I have been able to make via phone and email is the MdC site directly and they being in France has been slightly difficult with the language barrier.

You can mark me down for one French maid. But I don't want her to speak English. I think English is what ruined my marriage..... guess that's what I get for marrying a fellow American.

I ordered from them recently and they had no problem with english at all. Infact they have an english website you can order direct from. Shipping is now even reasonable enough where a group buy seems like not much of an advantage. Think I paid $10 shipping on a box of soaps and they arrived within 2 days of ordering them. Might have gotten lucky though since ordering the same thing last year was a big process and expensive and slow. Perhaps they are better now?
