WOW thank you guys for all the advice you have given a great choice to go though!!! to answer Zerocool question I have got two of those containers it was in a old shaving travel kit I think one is for a stick of soap the other is for a brush but none of my brushes fit in either of them and to keep a stick of soap in the other to stop the soap going all over my other bits in my shaving travel bag which I got from "Shaving Shack" which was about £13 ( $20.544) Picture below

I use the Turner of Old Bond Street Sandalwood stick when I'm travelling. It twists up like a deodorant stick and provides good lather. Nice sandalwood smell, too.

Thanked: 1195I have a DR Harris Almond shave stick and it's fantastic, just like any of their products. The price isn't that bad either, and another plus is it's a great way to sample a manufacturer's product without buying an entire puck of soap.

Thanked: 603QED has a wide variety of affordable shaving sticks, all of which generate copious lather, lubricate and moisturize, and smell simply fantastic!
I own-and-use their Bathtub Gin, Mocha Java, Sandalwood, and Vetiver (and love 'em!)You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

I'll have to say Ogallala is getting my vote. Arko is a good safe bet, I don't think anyone could get bad lather from that stuff. Also Mike's Natural Soaps jst started making shaving sticks not long ago. I'm assuming its the same as his regular soap (which is fantastic) only in stick form.

+1 on Palmolive. A tallow soap with a light, soapy, inoffensive scent. Can't go wrong with it. Superb performance and dirt cheap in England!!
