Summer, fall, winter, spring....
I see Lynn's thread What Soap or Creme Did you use today and what did you like about it?
and noted that as my season and weather changed
my preference posted way back when is not my
preference today.
How many folk have seasonal preferences and why?

No preference for me. I go with what strikes me at the moment. I might tend to like the more floral in the warmer months but only slightly. For me it tends to be a "mood" thing similar to my music at the time.

Gentlemen, I have no seasonal preferences for soaps and creams. Nor do I rotate them regularly. The day's mood is usually the decider.

Thanked: 993I don't generally have a seasonal order or rotation, but I can say that there are soaps that seems to heighten my mood at times. One of these is Mitchell's. On a cold day or a dreary spring Saturday, I find MWF to be the perfect pick-me up, as it seems to have slight overtones of cinnamon and a musky clove (at least to me....). On a hot hot day, that beautiful eucalyptus of Proraso does the trick.
That's my two cents.

Thanked: 1195I suppose that my tub of Proraso gets more use during the summer months for obvious reasons, but that's about it for me as far as seasonal preferences are concerned. I still use Proraso in the winter, but a mentholated face is not always a good thing during a Canadian winter

My preference changes a great deal with the change in seasons. I get all 4 seasons here, but summer is not only hot, it’s humid. Many of my products get bogged down in the heat and humidity and some that I love in winter… just become downright goopy in the summer.
The trick I’ll use next summer so that I don’t need to change it up too much and still be able to use everything I have, is to buy some unscented mentholated cream and aftershave splash. I’ll mix the cream with the stuff I have, and use a little balm after the mentholated alcohol based aftershave.
Well that’s the plan anyway lol.

Yea, that's all we need, 4 complete collections of paraphernalia, one for each season of the year. We'd be in the poorhouse.

Thanked: 12I have seasonal preferences, mostly based on scents. I have had some nice Mama Bears seasonal soaps, like the fall and Holiday scents. Nice to use at those times. Also had some good summer scents. and Proraso is just too harsh to use in the winter.
