Williams explosion!
I have a new Semogue 610 boar brush that I am breaking in (picked it up for traveling this summer and beyond), so today I brought out the very famliar and old staple Williams Mug Shaving Soap. I generally use some fine shaving creams on a daily basis, including those from AOS, Truefitt & Hill (just got this one and like it), C.O. Bigelow, Nancy Boy, and Spencer & Devon (also new to me), and they all lather up like they're supposed to with a fine badger brush.
So, I soaked the boar brush in hot water for a few minutes, then took it straight to the mug without letting any water out, and started swirling and ... BOOM! Withing 30 seconds, the mug was filled with a very thick and creamy lather. I went ahead and face lathered, dipping the brush in hot water a couple of times, and a had an incredible lather on my face. I was really surprised and very impressed. I think i will stick with Williams during this break-in period. If anything, the Williams and boar brush combo reminds me of my dad shaving when I was a youngster. I am learning Williams is good stuff when lathered correctly.
