Default Fitjar Soap - Norwegian Fern

I hope this is the place for this, if not feel free to move/remove.

I've been using the Fitjar shaving soap (https://fitjarsoap.no/products/shavi...ng-soap-in-jar) lately and I can't say enough good things about it.

The only drawback might be its price. Everything else is superior to all other soaps I've tried before. That isn't saying very much as I am somewhat of a rookie still, but I doubt I'll be buying a different sort any time soon.

It lathers so effortlessly, yet densely and smoothly. The soap it self is in my opinion less dry/dense than alot of other soaps(but i've seen other people say the exact opposite), so it's very quick and easy to load up the brush initially.

The other massive bonus is the smell. I've used a few different types from fitjar, and I liked all of them, but my favorite so far has to be the Norwegian fern scent.
It's just the right amount of scent. Not the overwhelming smells that some soaps have, but a very sutble and discrete one. Your face won't smell of it the rest of the day.

The smell it self is phenomenal in my opinion. It genuinely smells like they literally put real fern / fern extracts in there (which i guess they have?). Either way it has an incredibly refreshing and natural scent to it.

Anyways, for anyone in the market for a slightly more expensive soap I can't imagine you'd be disappointed with fitjars soaps. They usually also provide a sampler of a different scent, so you get to test more than the one you buy.

    Yes, I share your findings.
A very good range of products indeed.
My favorite would have to be the Miklagard scent. As it says on the lid; a Viking and a Gentleman.
Gotta love that, as a descendant of a few Viking Kings myself

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

I use the cream with the "citrus and bay rum" scent, it is excellent!
I am also very satisfied with the balsam. Excellent quality as well.
    Highly recommended!

Huh, I thought you must have misspelled Fir, cause my soap smells like a fir tree, not a fern bush. But then I had a look, and sure thing, those are different soaps. Mine is Fjellheim (Mountain Fresh) which is frankly a little... much.
I've since switched to Folgefonn, and have a cake of Villmann (Wild Thing) in wait.

Hell, I've gotten my sister and mother to start buying skin care products from Fitjar so I can save on postage

I would not mind trying some Fitjars but a quick search shows that it is hard to impossible to find in North America.

They will ship internationally. Haven't checked the rates yet, they might be a bit on the crazy side since everything in Norway costs about five times as much as everywhere else in the world.

Yea, shipping rates on the crazy side alright. On one site a member claimed $60.00 as the cost, likely a flat rate. If nobody imports it here I will put on my list to purchase if I ever make it back to Europe.

If you order for a specific fee amount the shipping is free.

May be a possibility to do a group buy, or just make a larger purchase. On the I believe it's around 250ish USD

Yea, if that is the case a group buy is the way to go. I really don't need $250 worth of soap at least not at my age.
