Last weekend, I tried the puck of Jermyn st, and I was again blown away by all the lather that came from it. Scent was good, too. Going from my first puck of Conks to TOBS made a world of difference. Again, you won't regret any TOBS you get. Enjoy!

I showed the scent descriptions on West Coast Shaving to my lady and had her pick one. She picked the Mr. Taylor. This morning I read the fragrance descriptions on the actual Taylor website. They vary significantly to the ones on WCS...got me worried now. I had to look up fougere, what do ferns even smell like? LOL!
Not really worried, definitely curious though, and surprised WCS would take it upon itself to write their own fragrance descriptions. Tarragon and Galbanum?
WCS - For generations, discriminating gentlemen have selected this crisp and spicy fragrance in which Tarragon, Lavender and Incense combine with hints of Green Galbanum and Citrus for an elegant manly scent and a warm, woody drydown with traces of Cedar, Sandal, Patchouli and Musk. Parabens free.
TOBS.co.uk - A fresh fougere accord with herbaceous top notes of lavender, bergamot, green notes resting on a heart with geranium and soft green fern. The base of this fragrance is ambery with cedar, leathery, moss and musky. Contains cedarwood oil, Patchouli oil and Lavandin Grosso.

So I got the TOBS Mr. T in the mail. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it, leaning toward not. It smelled floral at first...But the more I sniffed it, the more I noticed how subtle and complex it really is. I smell the musk, I smell the tonka, the florals are definitely in there but they're very subtle. My ladylove says she doesn't smell flowers at all when she smells it, my girls say it smells like girl perfume. I like the complexity. The smell is pretty much wiped out by whatever aftershave I use anyway, kinda a shame.
The lather it whips up is nothing short of amazing. Like, I was truly surprised at the amount of lather I got from just gently tapping my brush in the cream container. Very nice shave.
My cousin has also sent me samples of MWF, TOBS Avacado, and Castle & Forbes Ceder & Sandalwood. The Avacado smells nice, way different than the Mr. T. I like the Mr T scent much better. I was entirely unimpressed with the C&F. It barely smells and the scent there is just smells musty. It whipped up ok, but even using a LOT of it didn't seem to hold a candle to the TOBS. The lather deflated before I finished shaving my head. The MWF I'm going to try this weekend at some point, looking forward to it...smells a little light, but very nice.

Thanked: 0Not on the list, but have you considered the TOBS Almond cream? I use it, and the almond scent is anything but floral - to my nose anyway. Good luck!

I generally avoid smelling like food, a good policy for a fat guy like myself I think. Hehe.

Thanked: 0I have only tried two of TOBS scents: Eton & Mr. Taylor. Eton has a citrus aroma that grows on you but I wouldn't want to smell it all day. The Mr. Taylor, however, I love! It smells manly without being Stetson, Brut, or English leather. It reminds me of a barbershop but has some oaky aroma. I like it so much I often sniff my brush when I pass by it. Get it in one of the squeeze tubes or get a sample from Shoebox Shave Shop to try it without a lot of cash or waste if you don't like it. Here's the link. TAYLOR OF OLD BOND STREET - 1/4 oz Samplers
