Having a hard time picking a TOBS scent!!
Up til now I've only used Proraso green...and I'm wanting to try something less medicine cabinet smelling. SHMBO actually gave me a green light to buy a new soap/cream and AAAHHHH!!! I can't decide!!! I know I want a cream by Taylor of Old Bond Street, but there's so many to pick from. Does anyone have experience with all of the TOBS scents listed below? I really hate smelling like flowers, and all of them have some kind of floral notes which worries me...which are the least flowery?

I love the sandalwood. It's good stuff. Tell ya what, PM me on Wednesday (I won't be home till then and I garuantee I'll forget by then) and I'll toss a snurdle or two of it in the mail to you.
It's definitely more floral than some other Sandalwood creams but it is a nice scent. Pairs wonderfully with the Ogallala bay rum + sandalwood aftershave or my just a splash of cucumber Thayer's.

I absolutely LOVE TOBS! the latherablility is just insane. I have Sandalwood and the SHMBO can't keep her hands away. it's got a good manly smelling scent. Haven't gotten to try the others, but I have a puck of Jermyn street soap by TOBS and will be trying it this weekend. Good choice on TOBS and have a good one.

Thanked: 5TOBS soaps and creams are some of the best performing products out there IMHO.
I've tried all the soaps and most of the creams.
The pick of the bunch for me are Samdalwood soap ( the cream smells different and was not a pleasant experience), Jermyn Street soap and cream, Almond cream and Avocado cream.

Thanked: 5I'm not a great lover of flowery scents myself and wouldn't describe any of those I've mentioned as being flowery at all.

+ 1 on the Jermyn St. TOBS. It's a few dollars more than most other TOBS, but worth every penny. Trumpers is my favorite cream, but the JS Tobs is my go to everyday driver shave cream. Try it!! You won't be sorry.

LOL! Thanks very much guys. Every time I see someone talking about a lilac or rose I'm scratching my head. I don't even like florals on my lady. Blech. Good to know those olfactory tones are very subdued.
bharner, that would be awesome. I wanted to send a sample of whatever I pick through the mail to my cousin. Do you have any experience with doing that? Whats a good container for that? The last time a SRP member tried to mail me a tin of shaving soap it was liquified when it arrived due to heat. (I live in florida)

I've got a couple containers I've saved when I get samples. They look like the container that Loon deep soft tungsten fly fishing putty comes in. In the travel section of my local Walmart there were some small containers with screw on lids that I picked up to try out, 2 for a dollar. So far it's doing well on this trip but other than the cargo hold of the airplane and 15 hours in a car it hasn't seen much in the way of heat.
Nice things with creams that melt in the mail is that as long as they didn't leak you can just stir them back up a few times as they cool down.
