    Default First Cream Shave

I've been using shaving soap exclusively since I started shaving with a straight razor, and have been loving it. I grew a wild hair, you know where, and decided to get some cream and try it instead. After all, variety is the spice of life, right? Well, my first go with the cream was Taylor of Old Bond Street St. James. Wow!!! Talk about a lather! It was positively luxurious, thick, and slick. Just a small dollop in my shaving bowl made enough suds for three passes with extra to spare. I might just get hooked on this stuff!

Yes, addiction to soaps/creams seems inevitable, definitely not mutually exclusive

TOBS makes great stuff, no doubt. I've never tried the St James but I've never heard anything negative about it.

    Have fun.

TOBS makes excellent shave cream. I like their Sandalwood and the Avacado. The Avacado is definitley one of those you either love or hate.
I think it has a very "fresh" aroma to it.

The Sandalwood is unlike any I've come across, kind of old fashioned. I like it so much, I actually bought the Tobs Sandalwood bath soap, and luxury aftershave gel. The bath soap is excellent, and speaking of bath soap, Mitchell's wool fat also makes great hand/bath soaps in addition to their shave soap.

And Ryan can tell you, I wouldn't know anything about Shave cream or Soap addiction.....
