I decided to try Mama Bear soap and I have to say I am very pleased so far. I got the dragon's blood, northwoods, awakenings, and frankincense and myrrh. I love the dragon's blood scent and the northwoods. The northwoods is light but the dragons blood hangs on for a while. The awakenings is truely invigorating!! Green Proraso doesn't come close to this from a cooling factor. I haven't tried the frankincense & myrrh yet but the scent smells good so far. The lather is very good. Very slick and cushiony. Typical of a glycerin soap. With so many scents to choose from, I will probably be ordering more in the near future.

FYI, it is important to load the brush well for a slick lather. It takes a little more time to load the brush than a typical tallow based soap, but when properly loaded; this lather will stand up with the better soaps out there. I do not have soft water either.

Just finishing a puck of Mama Bear's patchouli and I loved it. No soft water here and I get a great lather. I put a little water on it first thing and let it sit while everything heats up in the sink. I load my brush right and I get more than a couple passes out of it.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
