I tried it for the first time last night and was impressed. Great lather, decent scent, felt good, not too pricey. Can't ask for much more than that.

Also, I agree with what Bob said about it exploding lather. It went from 'meh' to 'holy lather batman' in a few seconds. I suspect different water goes some way to explaining the different laterhing experiences people have reported. Scent is such a personal thing that any soap or creme will have both fans and detractors on that front alone, but there seems to be quite a range of opinions on the lather front for this stuff. All I can say is it worked well for me.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I like it too, but I think all the folks who are emphasizing how little of it you need are spot on. When I load the brush with the amount I'm accustomed to using for other creams, then mix the amount of water that usually matches, I end up with a lather so concentrated that it irritates my skin. So yes, great stuff, but do be prepared to recalibrate your lather-building. Less is more with this stuff. Too much and you'll go all zombie on us. A nice, fresh-smelling zombie with a good shave.

Yea, got to agree on the quality of water bit. We have very good water here drawn from Lake Superior and just about any and all soaps lather well with it.

Yea, this morning was the first time I loaded my boar brush directly in it and boy there was too much on it. Scraped half off and used a ton of water on what remained. Had lots left over. Next time I'll just take a finger tip amount and smear it on my face then lather it.

I use the TBS Maca Root all the time. It's very underrated, cheap, & readily available. It lathers well with lots of cushion, and doesn't seem to dry on my face as quick as other more expensive creams, which is odd because it doesn't need a lot of water added to it to make it lather well. My personal preference is the squeeze tube. It's only downfall is the scent. The ''Arber'' probably smells better, but I wouldn't know because I can't find it in the Body Shop's here.

mmm.. the addition of glycerin was mentioned earlier. I wonder if it (Macca) could be used as a base, as in create your own scent?

I just did, Horacio. I went to the Aventura Mall last night. I shaved with it this morning. Great mild scent, good price, easy to lather, 4 drops glycerin.

    A wonderfull shave cream.
