i have a barber shop and i had a turkish lad fresh over to uk..he used arko, i tryed it and it was ok. compared to palmolive not as good , ppalmoloive lather does'nt dry out it holds up very well leaves skin nicer , its much better soap for some reason. arko soap reminds me of the cheap soap we had at schools when i was at the infants ....i'm 40 now so a while ago...
i just tryed geoff trumpers almond and with out a shadow of dout the palmolive beats that hands down. The thing i like about palmolive is the smell is fresh , leaves skin soft , no irritating, lathers up brill and holds up twice as long as some brand expensive soap such as trumpers and others .... don't rate the palmolive cream as much

Trumper soaps over the past 2 years or so have experienced significant formulation issues comparable with the likes of Penhaligon's. Lather stability is dire for some batches and unfortunately there's no way of ensuring a good one will be received. I now avoid.

My almond sent smells nothing like almond and on secomd pass no sooner the lather hits my face its just evapourtating, basicly disapears . i switched to my palmoloive , i gacve the trumpers a wek but its not good , very disapointed with it, the scent is mismatch and very over powering , leaves my skin irritated ... its not cheap neither ..

Yep! And like Pen's, Trumper seems oblivious to it. Pre 2009 pucks generally are excellent though.

Maybe I give it try, since honestly the neither the Arko or Derby were my thing since I prefer a slicker denser lather than I got from either of them. I'll give them another chance though.

Okay mahalo. I googled it after and found the images, I was going to edit my post but did not. I must have had a brain fart at the time forgetting that I could search for images.

Now I just have to get out on the economy, to the apothecary or the market and find me some.
