Thanked: 1195I've never had an issue with brush staining, and I clean my brush the same way regardless of the pigment of the cream/soap.
FWIW the only violet cream I've sampled is Trumpers and it gets two thumbs up from me

Me neither - I agree with this 100%.
I should also add that I've only ever owed one brush for home use - I have another one for travel, but my regular Kent T4 has been with me since I started straight razor shaving back in 2005. Nothing has stained it and it is remains in very good shape.
Just don't forget to give it a wash with a little shampoo every once in a while.

Gentlemen:
Trumper's Violet has been a regular in the shave den. The fragrance is heavenly. Lather, cushion and glide are of the highest quality. Good stuff. What coloring there might be with this cream, and others like it, washes away when the brush is rinsed.
