Doesn't say that on the euro creams...so I never do that.

I read on SMF forums that CVS was going to discontinue carrying Palmolive shave creams. So I went to the local one this morning and bought all three of the lather ones they had left along w/ one of the brushless. All 25% off. $2.24 per tube. Should last me for years! I mostly use soap, sometimes adding just a dab of the Palmolive to the soap. And as you can see from my avatar, I skip a few spots shaving.

Thanks for passing this on. I stopped at CVS today and found the Palmolive SC marked down as you did, on clearance with a "get it while it lasts" note. They had 3 tubes of the lather type so I snagged them.
I would have thought that this product would be gaining sales with the resurgence of wetshaving but guess they must think there's something better to dedicate this little bit of shelf space to.

I too had read about the decision to halt production of Palmolive over on SMF,
and started checking around as I love it. Some CVS stores here in the Atlanta
area have not reduced the price ($2.99), some have it for 50% off, and I have
found it at 75% discount....that's $.75 a tube. Prices were for both the Red and
Green tubes.
Of course, the stores never seemed to have more that 4-5 tubes at any time
in the past, so the pickings are getting slim indeed....You all may want to hit up
ebay for one of the 6 tube deals for 11.50 with FREE shipping to the US.
The seller is "quique666", http://cgi.ebay.com/Palmolive-Lather...QQcmdZViewItem

Thanked: 0[quote=rum;80488]Slightly off topic to this thread - I got that razor in the photo from my local Boots store. Not a bad DE, but you could do better (and get a much closer shave) with a Dovo DE, i.e. a metal one.quote]
I got one from Boots too...just don't ever use their blades compared to the WS blades they are very dull!
On the Palmolive front I used the stick when I went away last year and was very surprised how good it waas...

The pickings are getting VERY slim, Colgate has discontinued all their shaving products it seems. If anyone is really attached to this stuff, stock up now. It's on both the DE boards.
I'm just learning to use a brush with my DE and this is the first stuff I tried the long month ago. Very frugal to practice with too. I just got 2 cases from the above Ebay seller with an offer of $9.50 per case, fwiw.

Noticed the local Walgreens carries Palmolive today. They're selling it for $1.59 so I had to pick some up to try. Since I'd already shaved today I just did a quick pass with the DE to try it out. Not bad at all. Not as nice as shaving with one of Colleen's soaps but lathered well and quickly, was adequately slippery and had a light enough smell that it wouldn't interfere with anything else. Might have to stock up on since it'd be hard to beat for travel or a quick shave.
