Ss or Sc AD and it's consequences
Soooo. I thought I should actually count the number of soaps and creams I have. Silly. I have acquired 29, not including one soap that a merchant here has put away for me as a gift. Assuming an average time to use up a tube, tub or disc as being 3 months (yrmv) it would take me 87 months to use them all up. 7.25 years! I hope I am not alone or I need a support group? lol

I tried to count mine, but each time I get to ten I have to take off my shoes, and then I forgot what number I was on.

Well I am three weeks in to this shaving adventure and I have three different thinks to make lather from. First the SRD unscented soap that came with my gear, Second a buddy got me three sticks of ARKO, and third a friend picked me up a tube of Palmolive sensitive shave cream. I wonder what I will have in a years time?
Aloha,
ED

Thanked: 11953 months? That's a bit optimistic. A tub or puck would hardly be dished at 3 months lol. And I assume that your calculations are based on daily shaves with no allotment for days off? I think you're stocked up for a lot more than 7-1/4 years......
Don't worry, you are most certainly not alone. I have enough of them to last until the end of days, yet there's always another that begs to be tried. I still have yet to use up a single one.

Thanked: 3227At the very least it keeps people gainfully employed making the darn stuff. Yes, I too have more than I rationally need. Just got 1 kilo of Vitos Red so I just augment it with the others now and then plus I have given some soaps and creams to friends and family. Oddly enough I am still itching to get MWF and a few others to try out.

It's worse than I stated really, Ryan. Included in the count is a 1kg brick of Vitos green and a 500gm brick of Klarrs. So, maybe 30+ months of additional time?

It's ridiculous, really. When I look at all the soaps and creams I've accumulated, I just can't believe it. I had to move the majority of them into my walk in closet/shave den. They have their own shelf, and they're stacked. Even my counter in the bathroom has a Stainless steel shoe rack I fitted with cermaic tile, to give me two levels of madness.
They do hold up well. Some I have are going on 4 years old. Castle Forbes for instance. I'm afraid to count. We have assumed control !

Thanked: 1184So as a beginner I have learned something here. Do not buy new soap until the old bowl wears out.
noted as > note 32 page 64 book 3 - titled "Don't Even Go There."
I just hope I have time to go back through these note books.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
