Vetiver options
I am looking for a Vetiver option in a soap or a cream. It has to smell wonderful and the performance has to be extremely good.
There is another thread going right now but I did not want to hijack it.

I always recommend Creed Original Vetiver for this sort of discussions. It is a superb performer and my choice for a 'Sunday' shaving soap which for me is special.
The scent is strong at first, but my puck is two+ years old and it still has a relatively good scent.

Thanked: 375Wish I could help, I have yet to experience a good Vetiver. The only one I have tried is Razorock "nervous wreck" and it reminded me of my great grandmother, not a very manly scent, at least to me. So I'm a little gun shy to try another....

There are a few options:
Cyril R Salter French Vetiver - Great performance and a nice earthy scent
Jabonman - Haitian Vetiver or Vetiver and citrus or Wet Earth - Wonderful vegetable soap that performs like tallow!
Al's Shaving "Bomb" in custom Vetiver - if you want a truly loud vetiver scent, tell him to make like Max likes...He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

Nieman Marcus will order it for you, or the Creed Boutique in NYC will ship.

Thanked: 40My intro into Vetiver is from SRD. I enjoy the scent. It relaxes me during the shave. When it is gone I might try another ......maybe not.
