Thanked: 116Jack Black shave cream!!!
Just caved in and bought a container of this stuff. For $26 you get 236ml of the thick and slick cream; almost twice as much as you get when you buy the 'art of shaving' stuff and $4 less.
I read over on B&B that lots of guys were having issues making this stuff lather. Well... This stuff is a lather monster! I wet my brush, dried it off and dipped it in the tub just enough to coat the tips of the bristles of my NEW omega boar (this one is considerably larger than my first one) and a small splash of water in the bowl. Whip, churn, lather starts to produce. A little more water goes in and a LOT more lather comes out!
This stuff is so slick and fluffy! I actually prefer it over my proraso white....
Anyhow, chime in if you've tried this stuff, I really do love it!

Any links or picks? Haven't seen any of this.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

I tried it about a year ago, and it was ok; definately better than their pre-shave, brushless shave (allergic reaction to something in it). I use the deodorant, works great, but kinda pricey. Check out billy jealousy's whipped cream shave cream pretty good stuff, I think 6-8oz for like $26-$30. Their aftershave gel is good too, reallllly cold for summer days. Look at www.sephora.com at their men's section, I have a shave cream and aftershave from an Australian company they carry "Eshu" nice shave cream, awesome aftershave. Anthony logistics aftershave balm is one of the best I have ever used...very minty, and their brushless shave cream is the best brushless I have used (doesn't dry out and get all cakey, and will leave your face softer than a baby's bottom). Some of these companies focus on men's grooming as a whole, and get looked over a lot on the shaving forums, but they have quality stuff as far as these companies go.

Thanked: 3225Did a quick check of reviews on this stuff and it got panned a lot. Seems they may recently changed the formula and the new one acts as brooksie was saying. I would check to see that it was the new formula before trying it.

Thanked: 116Hey guys, this stuff seems so hit and miss for people and I'm really not sure why. I don't see anything on the packaging that suggests a new formula. I actually wanted to try out that Anthony aftershave stuff but they were sold out...
I'm home on the 3rd of Jan and i'll take some pics and lather up a bowl so everyone can see.
For samples, the Sephora retail store seems to be pretty good about giving stuff out and they always have a tub/tube/jar of whatever product open for testing. The service at this place was awesome! Before buying it I actually convinced one of the women working at the store to grab her stiffest makeup brush and try to whip some up in the lid of the container... lol. It didn't really work but I could tell that this stuff was going to be awesome.
I also kind of like the lack of scent!! I picked up a few bottles of essential oils and a drop or two in a bowl of lather is enough to give you whatever smell you desire without compromising the performance!
PS my wife took me out to second city last night and then to the Bier Markt so i'm a little hung over still....

luxury4him.com, or groominglounge.com, ask for it as a sample explicitly when you make a purchase. Yeah the first time a walked in to the birmingham, al sephora with my now ex, iwas thinking "oh god what have I got myself into!", but the whole side wall was nothing but high end men's grooming and cologne, and yes I have been back by myself lol!
