Olivia shaving soap
I just wanted to share this site with you: http://www.olivia-seife.de/menshaving.htm
Soaps for those that like pure natural ingredients and vegatable oil soaps.
I have not tried them myself: I am happy with run of the mill stuff and occasionally treat myself to Proraso shaving cream. But noticing that Colleen's soaps are so popular I thought Olivia might be of interest to some.

I read good things about them on Badger and Blade but haven't tried them in person. I've been tempted to for a while though.

I'll be getting some of Olivia's creams sometime soon. I'll let you know how I like them.

Thanked: 402Thanks guys and hello!
Since my e-mail-customer service kind of
I've set this thread onto topic reply notification (although its kindof old, LOL)
in case you have questions about the soaps (and I'm allowed to answer them here).

Olivia! The Legend!
Question--do you make any tallow based hard soaps? I know your crema is tallowate, but no soaps? I'm dubious of Olive Oil soaps (no offense, I've never tried yours, but they rarely seem to maintain lather) and I was wondering if you had tried to make any harder soaps from other oils.
Just wondering.
Mit Herzlichen Dank,
Jim

Thanked: 402Good to see you, Jim!
You do make me blush though
At the moment I don't have any tallow based soaps in the guys section - apart from the creams.
The recipe for the bathing soaps is fairly balanced though, so don't worry.
They're doing their thing.
The only thing for the moment is that the bathing soap site for you guys does not have shopping buttons yet. So its a bit difficult to get to them.
The site is just about to become refurbished though, so thats just a matter of weeks.
(Glad I found someone who does that for me, cause right now I'm more into grits and blades)
Have a great day!

Soap's and Creams and HARD WATER??!!
Howdy from th e sticks!! [Seneca lake, Ohio] Any who, I was very interested in your soap's and or any creams you might sell, HOWEVER, I have very hard well water and even with comercial soaps, ie; Mugo Real, Col. Conk, ect.... I have to use at least 10 to 15 drops of glycerin to make a good useable lather. Quite the chore when a great BBS is all a fellow wants in the morn.!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank's for 'yer time.

Thanked: 402tinkersd, I have hard water as well and its really a little bit of an issue for the olive recipe (most of the pucks).
You could filter it or use demineralĂzed water on them but I admit that its not the real fun.
Actually this is what I made the WM-soaps for.
Those and the creams lather well, even under worst conditions.
Thank you, Mac!
