It is completely fine to remove the Proraso from the green tub. When I sue it, I often scoop a bit out and put it in my bowl to lather up, sort of like a cream. if you mean storing it outside the tub, that's fine, too, but be sure that the new container is airtight, as Proraso soaps are soft soaps, and they will dry out if exposed to air.

I use a scuttle to whip up my lather, so I load up my brush out of the green tub. There is no rule to much anything with our "sport" as long as you get the end result of a good shave. Try different ways & see what works for you...

This thread has been helpful... I just ordered some Proraso soap along with the pre-shave cream... Anyone have any tutorials for how to whip up some good lather with this stuff? Like, is there a video showing the best way to do it with the Proraso in the tub specifically?

You can whip it up in the tub it came in but I've come to find when I whip the brush around in the tub then go into my bowl I can get some major whip cream.. Lol
I've been experimenting with mine as well. Also I've gone straight from the tub right to the face and it builds up very nice.

I usually drop one or two drops of water in the tub, soak the brush, and then start building the lather in the tub.

I then lather my face with the brush, add water to the brush, and continue building the lather on my face.

I find the proraso to build a thick lather, but very creamy to the point that it dries too quickly. By lathering on the face as well as in the bowl the lather gets less creamy and more watery which I find helpful when shaving.

Practice makes perfect. Each water is different and each preference (yours compared to mine) is different. I lather in a bowl. I soak my brush in the bowl with hot water while I am in the shower, shake the brush once in the sink, then start loading the brush over the whipping bowl. Once I feel I have the brush loaded, I whip up the lather in the bowl.

I've always loaded my brush in the tub, then lathered in a bowl or on my face. I've never bothered to take it out of the tub. I imagine if you lather it in the tub, you'd want to put it in a larger container to give yourself some room to work. Like Sargon said, you want to store it in an airtight container, whatever you do.
