Arko in a tube...
Bought a stick of Arko and loved it. So I ordered up some more and some twist up tubes. The tubes came with shrink wrap so I decided to use then to mount the packaging as a label. Thanks for looking.

OK, Ive seen this stuff thousands of times now, and it appears to have a great fan base. How does one use it? Do you smear it on your face then face lather? Smear it in a bowl and lather there? I really like the label, it's like they made it up in the 50's and said, good enough, and never changed it. I don't have a soap addiction, yet. I have my MWF as a base, and a tube of Proraso and one of Musgo Real, for when I want to fancy it up. And, of course a puck of Williams in a mug. But, I'm running low on the tubes and will need to order some stuff and now this Arko is looking interesting. I figured I'd try some different stuff with my next order, but don't need or want a bunch of stuff. Is this a "must" try kind of thing?Silence is Golden, but duct tape is Silver.

IMHO it is one of those soaps that is a must try. It very easily competes and beats many of the high price soaps for easy of use and performance. The good thing is a stick will only set you back a couple bucks normally.
To use I take a knife a cut the foil wrap about a finger width down from one end and then peel that section of foil off.
Then for building lather I will wet my face and the tip of the soap. You then rub the tip of the soap all over your beard don't need much. You then wet your brush and face lather till you get the lather where you want it adding water as needed to the brush.

Thanked: 3227Yea, it is so cheap I would get two sticks that way you can press on into a bowl and lather that way or use it as a stick and crayon your face with it. The third way is to take the stick and crayon your lathering bowl with it and build you lather in there.

It's great stuff. I ordered 15 sticks last year (was on sale). I keep one stick on the shelf of the shave den and another pressed into the old deodorant stick for my dopp bag.
The rest I give away to new shavers along with a brush since its what I call "idiot proof" in the making and performance.
It's definitely a must try.

Looks great! I love how you were able to keep the label. That's the one drawback to using a stick of Arko without a container...you lose that cool retro label.

very very very looks good....your idea is good for the market.
The label is perfect( i love the packaging of arko)...so contact Arko and propose your fantistic work"Consider well the seed that gave your birth: you were not made to lives as brutes, but to following virtue and knoweledge"
