My favorite soap is the one I choose once I am ready to shave. I can't narrow it down. I've got soaps from Colleen, Mama Bear, Saint Charles Shave and Honeybee Sue. This is not a fair question!

My favorite soap? Miss Jenny Cinnamon Shave Soap.
I first found this at the Florida State Fair a few years back. I love the smell and it really feels good on my skin. It does tend to dry quickly so I re-lather frequently when using it, but that is no big deal because one cube of the soap lasts forever.

Just one soap is a very difficult choice to make, but for shaving with a straight or Feather AC I would opt for Mitchells Woolfat, very thick, creamy lather which gives a wonderful shave.
Other than that I would choose, in order of preference:
L'Occitane CADE
L'Othantique Pere et Fils
Floris JF
TOOBS Herbal Sandalwood
