    Default Your favorite Soap

I feel a serious case of Soap Acquisition Disorder coming on. So I need some input. I have been cruising the soapmakers sites from here to E-bay drooling over all the wonderful homemade products and well developed established brands. I need some new scents. What is your favorite soap, why, where can it be bought. I want to see all the reviews possible.

If you haven't tried Colleen's Leatherneck yet, you should. It's my favorite soap.

If I could only have one soap it'd have to be Mama Bear's Masculine Musk.

I like Colleen's Orange/Patchouli too but was handicapped using a little trial sliver of it.
Tabac makes probably the best lather of any I know, and I like the scent, but it has a tendency to dry my face out.

Argh, thinking about this gave me the itch and I just ordered $50 worth of soap, stocked up on masculine musk and picked a couple of essential oil scents to try out.

since your question is a paradox and can not be simplified to only 1 choice, i will do my best to give 3:

    QED - grapefruit and peppermint
Mama Bears - clove and tangerine ..... drooling to try her sleighride
Colleen - black cavendish. it really is unique

oh, tabac is a very good soap also. doesn't come in tons of scents or colours.. just simply a classic that works very well with a smell that grows on you till you crave it.

see what you did. i've been going thru the 12 steps of soap aquisition disorder for the past couple months... and since i've passed 12 new soaps, i can safely say im finally over trying to fighting it

Colleen's Cavendish Black but then again it's only the second soap I've tried and I've still got her Leatherneck and Highlander soaps to try I really love her soap so far though so other than acquiring more scents I'm not feeling much of a need to explore.

First, I'd say Mama Bears Dragon's Blood, then Egyptian Musk. Then I'd say any other scent that appeals to you. All of her soaps lather equally well.
Next, I really have taken to the Tabac soap. It is the next best thing to Old Spice, but much more expensive.
Last, I love my Colonel Conk Almond soap. Nice scent and very easy to get a great lather.
    Good Luck!

My personal favorite is Mama Bear's English Leather. Fantastic scent that will completely fill your bathroom.

    Since we're talking soaps...
    1) CH Cavendish Black
    2) CH Leatherneck
and if we're allowed to include creams...
    3) T&H 1805 (i'm not sure if it comes in a soap)

1 and 2 can be obtained by e-mailing Colleen at [email protected]. I'm sure a bunch of places carry T&H products.

I agree with all that has been said. For additional variety, pick up some Pre de Provence shaving soap. Its simply one of the best soaps I've ever used (and I have a pretty bad case of SSAD). Great lather and a nice clean scent. You should be able to find it for around $11-$12. It comes in a convenient screw-top tin.
