Shave Soap + Shave Cream + Glycerin = Überlather, the recipes vary

So, just some really awesome, thick lather?

I really don't quite know how to answer that, but Yes ??? and a bit more to it also, depending on the recipe like everything else in this hobby you get back what you put in.

I'm sorry if my question was a bit vague I guess what I was trying to figure out what the 'über' part of meant, as I usually hear the term über in relation to something that is superior. I'm still trying to figure out what the difference is between cream and soap, it's a whole new world for me since I've joined this forum!

Now that sounds cool. I don't know how I never heard this before.... Anybody try to add essential oils too? So: Soap + Cream + Glycerin + Coconut/Lavender/whatnot oil

    Cheers!

I'd advise to use an unscented soap and cream if that's what you want to do, or at least try to match scents. There's always the danger of conflicting scents when mixing soaps and creams, and that's without adding essential oils.

Other than that, I don't see why you couldn't do it.

I have been told that certain EOs can also kill a lather and you need to watch out for putting too much EO in your lather, it can irritate.

I am glad that I ruined you for other soaps or creams. Besides the fact that this combination is the best lather that I have encountered, I just love the luxury of it myself. I have no need to shave for work or life, this is for me.
