Thanked: 25You cant go wrong with a good 10w/40, with gunpowder in place of talc, and Hoppe's No.9 for aftershave.

Speick, If you dont smell manly after the cream or stick, and aftershave, you should probably just forfeit your man card.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

Thanked: 0You gents have provided some GREAT suggestions. I really like the looks of Opus X, Sentinel, and Masonic lodge. I feel like one of these may be exactly what Im looking for. I will try them all out starting with masonic lodge I think. Fear not, I will also try tabac. Keep the suggestions coming if anyone has some more.

Tabac soap. It just works, and gets better with age. Proaso Red is a good suggestion for a cream. Any SRD soap just pick your scent, same with Mama Bears.

If they made a hoppe's #9 shaving soap I would shave with it!
That said, I didn't really "get" the smell of tabac, its almost flowery to my nose, but after face-lathering with the shave stick a couple of times I have to say I understand both the performance and the scent. Tabac is manly for sure. I also happen to find anything with sandalwood to be very manly.
