Thanked: 603[from the Basenotes entry for Acqua di Parma Colonia]
Top Notes: Sicilian citrus fruit
Middle Notes: lavender, rosemary, verbena, damask rose
Base Notes: vetiver, sandalwood, patchouli
I think it's quite important to note two things in this AdP v. RR-XXX controversy:
- Acqua di Parma Colonia has been in-production since 1916
- Acqua di Parma Colonia is made solely from Essential Oils (EO)
Correct me if I'm wrong about this, but I do believe that RazorRock XXX is a more recent product, and contains many/mostly Fragrance Oils (synthetic manufacture). So, regardless of which one a person might prefer, it is incorrect to say that AdP Colonia smells like RR-XXX; rather, 'tis the other way 'round.
I'd like to raise another point: Acqua di Parma Colonia shaving cream is but one part of the Colonia product line; the other components are: bath soap/gel, exfoliating cleanser, shampoo, shaving gel, after-shave balm/splash, eau de cologne, body cream, deodorant, and candle.
As for cost, you get what you pay for, and I very-much like the lather, lubrication, moisturizing, and aroma of Acqua di Parma Colonia; besides, a little goes a long way.Last edited by JBHoren; 06-30-2013 at 06:43 PM.
