I,m late to this post , but im plenty old to say we got rid of ringworms by just finding a round lid bigger than the ring and pressing it on the skin fairly heavy and hold it for a few minutes at least 4-5 minutes ,, it cut the flow of blood off long enough to kill the worm I was told by grandma,, don't know if that is the case but it always got rid of the ringworm right away,,,,,,tc

Ring worm isn't a worm - it's akin to athlete's foot, fingernail- and toenail fungus.
I am a sweating kind of guy. After years of on and off bouts with athletes foot (etc.) I was nearly "bad-reactioned" to death after a taking a dermatologist-prescribed antifungal med. After the pleasure of being poisoned by VERY costly non-insurance covered meds I gave up and just went back to maniac use of foot powder, two clean towels after a shower and crazy hygiene. Didn't work great but it didn't make me sick, either.
About 15 years ago, a foot doctor in a little country town explained to me that everyone wears a variety of fungus on the skin no matter what. He claims the incidence of toenail fungus, ring worm and athletes foot tends to increase with age (and, presumably, a deterioration in the immune system). "Lucky you," he said, "because the acid nature of distilled white- or cider vinegar makes an inhospitable environment for fungal infection. No charge."
On his advice I've kept a spray bottle full of white vinegar by the shower. One quick spray on toes, feet and other problem-prone areas after drying off and, for the many years since, nary a skin problem. Cost of cure is one cheap spray bottle and a $1.00 bottle of vinegar every 6-8 months. You smell like a tossed salad for about 10-seconds - not as bad as Arko. This is not medical advice from Mister Moo - this is merely a personal anecdote. As always, see your physician to first discuss treating any fungal problems with costly, ineffective prescription drugs before risking your safety with a a spritz of vinegar.
I swear.... If doctors got an $8.00 kickback on each squirt of cider vinegar they prescribed, vinegar would be $400/gallon and the makers of Diflucan would be out of business. My dad (1910-2001) used to use oil/vinegar exclusively on salad and would drink a small amount of vinegar in glass of water daily until he cashed in, fungus free, at 91. He had great skin and clear toe- and fingernails. His father also believed drinking vinegar daily was healthful.Last edited by MisterMoo; 06-10-2014 at 09:51 PM.

ill try that I don't suffer from athletes foot although I don't know why other than I put the powder in my boots every day,, because I wear roughneck boots sometimes as many as 16 hours a day, so to not be affected I prevent ,, but I,m all about a more natural way and its cost effective too,,, thanks tc

Thanked: 983Well since I can't see harm in the vinegar, and it has been a remedy for many ailments throughout history, I might give that a whirl. Far easier to add a dash of vinegar to my first glass of water, than to brush what is, more and more, appearing to be in-effective toenail tincture every day.
