Already had my inaugral fall. Unclipped my right foot. Put down my left foot 😂

No issues since then. But im just going to accept it's going to happen.

So did my first fully laden cycle to the train stn as a test. Was actually less than a minute slower than unladen. Go figure.

Curious if there are any other avid cyclists on here. I've been riding for about 5 years now. My daily steed is a 2015 Felt AR5 with a few extra tweeks.

    Anybody else out there?

I might have missed it in the 10 pages. So let us see a pic of your bike.

    I have a query.

If my tyres are under inflated will they loose air quicker?

I'm currently busy building up a bike for my girlfriend. I've had to buy the fork, headset, cassette and shifters but the rest of the parts including the frame have come from a good mates spares collection and my own.

I'll hopefully get the shifters and cassette delivered by Wednesday and I'll be able to finish the build this weekend.

A pretty much straight forward build.

Frame - Kona Blast 26" (resprayed by my gf's Dad)
Wheels - Mavic Crosstrail; Centre lock rotors 180f / 160r
    Fork - Rockshox 100mm Coil
    Brakes - Clarks Skeletal
    Drivetrain - Shimano 10spd 32t chainring 11/34 cassette
    Bars - Ritchey Carbon
    Stem - Giant
    Seatpost - Easton EA70
    Headset - FSA
    Saddle - WTB ladies

I saw a guy do this once.

At least there are 2 bicyclists in the world that stop at signs or lights........

Unhappy I Blew Out My Flip-Flop...

    ...Stepped On A Pop-Top...

a-mile-and-a-half into a ten-mile loop (going east on 10th Ave North, just after the intersection with Haverhill Road).

I was certain (isn't it obvious?) that it was a humongous sheet-metal screw, but noooooo

Walked the both of us back home. Repair? Maņana.

Note: That's a fairly new tire -- Continental "SpeedRide" 700x42 -- with only 1,652 miles on it. Really negligible tread wear, too. Patch the tire? Toss it? (I've got three new ones, but...)

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

    Three 😂

Cyclists who don't bug me horrendously. Worse are those who ride on the pavement so they can use crosswalks.

Incidentally it's illegal to cycle on pavements here in the UK unless it's marked shared use.

I bet that was the rear tire. It looks like the bolt had been already run over many times. Unless you are short on funds I would replace it.

I am glad that I looked up the term pavement before I replied. Here in Minnesota USA we call them sidewalks and the pavement is the roadway. Here it is also against the rules to ride on the pavement [UK definition] but no one complains about children.

Here cyclists basically have the rights and RESPONSIBILITIES of any other driver.
