Happy 4th Dans
After a gruelling 2 + hours, my training buddy, john & I were awarded our 4th Dans in Ju Jutsu.
Most of the focus was on multiple armed attackers (4), but other stuff included ground fighting , kenjutsu & shiai against 2 lower ranked black belts, armed & unarmed.
The smiles hide the exhaustion & bruising but with a combined age approaching 120 we did ok for a coupla old farts

The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
