Yeah except they got beat today in OT by Buffalo. They are on fire though. Of course so were the Lightning in 2019 during the regular season. We won't mention what happened in the playoffs that year.:gaah::cen

Yeah, the east is on fire this year. The Lightning however are losing their grip lately. I don't know what the heck is wrong with them lately.

That was a heck of a game today. Hats off to the Bruins. Credit given where credit is due.
Bruins beat the Hurricanes with one hand tied behind their back. 4-3 in a shoot out.
Carolina nevah led in this game.
Plus Bergeron,Marchand, and Lindholm stayed back in Boston.

Bruins are looking hard to beat this year but then so did Tampa in 2019 and we won't talk about how that went. Honestly there are a number of teams that look really good this year. Ought to make for some really fine hockey to watch. Started my playoff beard yesterday.

Yeah it would seem that way but just consider that in the 18-19 regular season the Lightning were 62-16-4. That was a record at that time. I said that same thing then and it seemed like a foregone conclusion that they would win the cup...then they got swept in the first round of the playoffs and sent home in disgrace. I think at least one of those 4 games was a shutout but I try to forget that train wreck.
The playoffs are a different game...as crazy as that sounds it's true.
Good luck to your team though as well as mine. Hope to see them play the in the second round. That's always a fun matchup.

Tough night for Bruins fans. I learned early as a hockey fan that in the playoffs you just never know what's going to happen. A bare minimum run to win the cup is 16 games if you sweep every series and it can go as many as 28. That's a lot of games to go through and come out on top.

That was definitely a one sided game and then it was one sided the other direction; just too little too late. I was actually impressed with the comeback the Panthers attempted even more than the whoopin' the Bruins dishes out. That was some dogged determination they showed.
