Thread: Making a strop

Ok, so my strop did not come today. So I bought a 3" by 24" with leather.



Hope it is good leather

Now I am trying to flatten it out and to deside if I am going to make a hanging or glued strop. I am leaning towards a big glued one so I can use it in the sofa. Hopefully my vintage strop will come next week.

Have used some oil and put it under some books, hope it helps. Also read that you can use a hot iron?
