You can put more, but the results are the same.
You do not need much.

Thanked: 1I received some iron oxide today and tested it out.
I got some of the good stuff that's 0.2 microns and am very pleased to report back that there is a notable increase in smoothness when shaving when compared to a razor finished on just crox.
