Thanked: 369I have a metal screw eye mounted into the wood cabinetry under my sink. I attach the strops spring clip (Illinois Razor Co. type) directly to this. This is very stable and secure.

hmm.
2" SS eye lag run into the wall.
I took a bit of horn a little bigger than a quarter and made a washer to cover the edges of the hole and the molly.
The eye is nice because it allows me to hook several strops in the same spot.
I just grab the one I want, latigo for wedges, horse for hollows, honey brown for stuff in between, pasted loom for dull stuff, you get the idea.
Works kinda like a key ring, just bring around the one you want.

I bought a strop hook online and put into the stud behind the wall. I hung it above waist height just a bit, and it seems to work great.
