You bet they would. It's sad the way the world has gotten. Some parents don't bother with their kids because they are drinking or smoking pot or both & letting their kids even see this plus letting their kids get away with anything. At the same time, their kids think it is ok for them to follow in their parents footsteps. If I had kids, they would come first no matter what!
That janitor & I became good friends because one day he came into my dads shop when I worked for my dad. I recognized him & him me.

Any of you guys familiar with the comedian Russell Peters? I come from a part of the world where we not afraid to kill our kids, we'll just make more. I'm probably not sad to say I got you guys ehem, beat.

Brings back fond memories, getting a few licks really aren't the fond , but I had them coming , so I didn't become a pain on society, I became a better man, heck I was hit harder in boot camp than by my parents. And that's another story , but I'll spin one of my favorite ones; I messed up , my mom would tear me up real good, but somewhere along the age of 12 she made me get her a chair so she could whip me upside the head,(she was 4'9" 97 lbs. )she swung that wooden spoon and I caught it and told her I was too big for her to hit and it didn't hurt anyway. She said your right , then dad got home, let's just say for the disrespect I showed my mom, the epic ass whupping was dealt out. Never did it again end of story. Tc

Being totally honest, it sucked. Psychological punishments worked best. Imagine your new El Camino rubber-tyred metal toy up on the top shelf where you could see it, yet not play with it.
That is what scarred me. Ass-whoopins were usually not so bad. The calluses, you know!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 0Basic training (army 11b) was easier BY FAR then what my mother used to dish out...
I remember once I was home visiting her in my 20's when she called to me that a friend was at the door... I came downstairs to see someone I had no idea who it was, upon answering he informed me my friend Rob was around the corner in the alley a few doors down; I went to see him, and asked why he didn't just come to the door himself, his reply, "I'm not dealing with your mom, I'm still scared of that woman!" Now mind you, she's 5'4" in heels (but had 5 older brothers and 1 older sister), he's 6'3" and a solid 225#... When she used to come looking for us as kids cuz we didn't come home for dinner, (broom stick in hand), the entire playground would clear out at the sound of her German accent calling our full names... "Your mom's coming, RUN!"
I was a bad kid, absolutely, but no doubt she was also old world strict and mean... It was a bad combination... Today I'm a good man and father, and we laugh about those days with a mutual respect bonded in love.
Family, what a terrible and wonderfully crazy thing it can be.
