only if you really wanted the gold. I'm good with the silver, personally.

I contacted the knife shop that sold the strop. They say that Kanayama now only makes strops with Silver tackle, so it's the same strop. I will say, the linen on the silver strop I have is dark and very stiff, like what Zethlent described on the Gold...and it is stamped with "Genuine SHELL Finish on this side". Beneath that it has "1200". All the stamps are gold.

So, yeah, I'm keeping it.
