    Art of Shaving has a store in SF. They will probably have strops, but at their prices you might be better off having one overnighted. The AOS strop isn't particularly nice (IMHO) and it is $75.

    in a pinch you may be able to use the back side of your belt depending on what it is made of, also allegedly you can use newspaper folded over several times to immitate the shape of a strop

    I am sure you can also find some type of leather store in San Francisco too that may have something you could use, perhaps a western saddle shop they may have some horsehide pieces that would be ideal

    this is a hand made in horse leather, but it works perfectly.
    the size is 5 Cm X 46 Cm
