Thread: Lost my strop travelling...where can I get one?

Hi all...

Lost my favorite strop while driving across country...Does anyone know where I can get one in the San Francisco Bay Area? I could order one, but really don't want to wait for the shipping etc...:-) Thanks

if you want i can send you a piece of leather from France (they sayd its a horse leather), therre is a other forum who talk a lot of this one by the way , i let you find it.

Art of Shaving has a store in SF. They will probably have strops, but at their prices you might be better off having one overnighted. The AOS strop isn't particularly nice (IMHO) and it is $75.

in a pinch you may be able to use the back side of your belt depending on what it is made of, also allegedly you can use newspaper folded over several times to immitate the shape of a strop

I am sure you can also find some type of leather store in San Francisco too that may have something you could use, perhaps a western saddle shop they may have some horsehide pieces that would be ideal
