Thanked: 124Where to buy strop hardware?
I'm putting together a hanging strop out of denim (to sub for canvas or linen) and I haven't been able to figure out where to get the hardware. Mainly the big d-rings seem to be a problem. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks.

D rings can be purchased online from Tandy Leather.
If you want choices in the traditional strop hanging hardware, you can buy those from a place like THIS
Oh, I forgot to mention I believe you have to buy a minimum quantity of 50 or 100.
For an enterprising person (I've thought about it but don't have the time) who would want to buy the minimum quantity of the widest hanger and sell them individually on the strop and hone section of the classifieds, there'd be enough demand to probably sell them all over time. I would pay a max of $10 shipped for a hanger but maybe $7 or $8 shipped would be more motivating.

Thanked: 124Thanks very much. I managed to figure out a way to do it w/o the hardware with the denim strop I made, but I might make a leather one with some scrap leather, so I might need the d-ring swivel thing for just one. I'm not sure it would be cost effective since you're up in Canada, though.

Saddle/tack shops have the actual strop hangers rather than D rings which I've seen they have in spades?
I have a saddle/tack shop nearby; it's huge and takes up 4 floors of a large old building. No strop hangers to be had there.

Tandy Leather does indeed have the hardware you are looking for, however, I cannot advise doing business with them, their customer service is appalling. Most of the swivels and such you are looking for can be found at your local hardware store.

Thanked: 124Don't remember the specifics, all I can say is that I googled the names of some of the items on the pages you liked to (mainly to compare prices) and there were a whole lot of saddle stores that came up in the search. I think there were swivel rings, but they were 1 inch at the largest-but then again they may have come up in some different stores and I'm just grouping them together in memory. It was a few days ago. I'm not sure if I found any that were the 2+ inch swivels.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they had the smaller ones, I remember thinking "Well, I hope they have these for Clydesdale saddles."
