+1 with Tony!! There are a few places to scrimp. Strops and razors are not those places. You can go the inexpensive route, but they have to be quality. Zeepk is cheap, but probably couldn't function well as a letter opener. Check the classifieds. You can enter a "WTB" ad with an amount you would be willing to pay. Also check the Vendor's Corner. I can vouch for the quality of Tony's strops. There are a few other vendors as well who have inxepensive, but good quality strops.

I have owend two of TM's strops so I know how good they are. Unfortunatley I sold both of them. I was just going to try and find something cheaper but when the time comes I will probably go for a TM.
