Default Vintage Blades Razor Strop. Anyone have Ideas on it.

Anyone have any ideas about these...I really want a strop and tony seems to sell out everytime...that shows the recognition for good quality he has.

When it really comes down to it a strop is a pretty simple item. As long as you start with a quality piece of leather properly processed you won't go wrong. Yes Tony makes super strops but like with anything else what you need to do the job is often times pretty simple and basic. I have many different strops including Tony's and though his are top of the line in the end they all work very well. Its just that some are more luxurious to use.

These are identical to the SRP strops (but with D rings), and those have been reviewed here. Many folks use and are happy with them, and I do not think you will go wrong. The more important decision is what width you want (you linked to the 2") and whether you would be more comfortable with rings or handles.

+1 to my esteemed friend Ray. Tony Miller's strops are worth the wait. Period. If not Don and Lynn offer strops of equal quality. Jim and Erin over at Vintage are great folks too! I'm sure you won't be disappointed and if you are, Jim will make you happy. He's a class act as are all our wonderful vendors here.....
