since we are at strops questions,

here's one for the stropmeister's:

I have DOVO best russian strop, 2". I have been using it for 2 months now. The strop has DOVO yellow paste coating. Now, the problem is that the strop surface is not even and smooth everywhere. There are lower spots, patches, that dont shine like the rest of the strop, and i think the razor is not reaching them. The surface is also lighter there. Also, there is diferent, unevean razor drag on the strop. They cover about 50% of the strop.

What is the solution? Should I lap the strop with pumice stone, rub it with glass bottle or??

I realy hate messing with brand new stuff :?
