    Default Use Your Slacks as a canvas Strop?

    i wear dickie brand pants, there a little more canvas like than say "dockers",
    i dont have my real strop yet, but i used some dickies pants, and newspaper tto strop, got my blade effortlessly poppin hairs off my arm, defintly freshend it up a bit

    Somewhere in my closet I have a variety of boards covered in materials as diverse as denim, chino twill, and medical gauze tape, all of which worked reasonably successfully as linen substitutes.

    I still prefer real linen though, if I can get it.

    Either way works. Guys around here have described doing this sort of thing when camping. Because of the curvature of the leg you need to do an X pattern.

    I was just thinking about all the strop repair threads. Just make sure you dont turn that razor into a Hobart meat slicer.
