I wouldn't recommend using the white paste with
the SRD webbing, but of course others are free to
    experiment

Have you used white paste on other strops, or was this your first attempt?

I haven't applied the white paste to other
strops, but one of my favourite linen strops
was the Dovo Best Russian -- which had a
linen side pasted with white paste. I loved
the feel and performance of this strop.

    Aha.

Well, I myself was quite surprised at how much white paste was required to do the TM 3" canvas strop. I used the entire tube, and had to be careful to spread it on evenly, otherwise I don't think there would have been enough in there to do the job. You may want to get another tube of the white so that you can get a nice even coating on there. Especially since you are already a white paste fan, you might as well go all the way!
