    Default Nicks on Strop

I am developing some nicks on my strop. They are on the bottom edge and it seems I am causing them when turning the razor over for the next stroke. I am doing it slowly but began to develop them as I started an X pattern. How do you go about smoothing these out? Will the Pumice stone work? ops:

Pumise stone will work. So will sand paper. Remember that it will be a wearker part of the strop and next time you cut into it can cause catastrofic failuer (cut right through).

My advice is to fix it and slow down. Don't be in a rush. speed comes with time and what you see on TV is done wit ha butter knife
