So I really like the white dovo paste for everyday stropping, but since I've applied it I've washed my strop (it was getting really gunky from metal residue) and it doesn't seem to be as effective anymore. I'm sure I washed out the paste.

It took a lot of the paste from the dinky little tube to paste my linen strop and consequently don't have any left to re-apply. I was looking at the white lapping paste at classicshaving: Razor Strops, Hones, and Accessories and was wondering if that would perform much the same function as the dovo white paste.

Has anyone used his paste? I'm also wondering how many applications would be in the tub, a lifetime supply of paste is preferable.
