I believe the adjustable one's are called "Loom" strops, The other's are just plain old paddles. Most are normally used for pasting, but can be used for daily stropping needs.
Most of us here use hanging strops for everyday. Paddles and Looms for pastes.
SRD has Loom Strops and Tony Miller used to have paddles. I'm not sure about Vintage scentWe have assumed control !

Loom was the word I was looking for too.
Olivia, you use it for the daily stropping needs?
So yes, I know who carry good strops (in Europe one can get nice ones at Steve Dempster's shop), but I interested in the preferences people have with regards to certain strop types. That way I hope to make a better choice, as I'm open to all strop types.

Thanked: 402Well as you can imagine I do not have daily stropping needs
But I use it for every blade I hone and thats about the same, I guess.
The one I started out with, is also quite nice.
Kinda like this one, just plain leather and no handle.
Those are not adjustable though.
