Thread: Pics of nicked strops?

Hello All

Does anyone have any pictures or descriptions of nicks in strops that are in one of three categories:

1. ok to use - does not affect performance - more cosmetic
2. repairable - once repaired, then it is ok to use
3. mannnnnn - that was a good strop - why did that just happen - unuseable as a hanging strop

The reason I ask is that my strop has many small nicks on the top and the bottom and I am just curious when is the point of irreperable damage when the strop will do more harm than good? My Nicks are just enough to skim the membrane layer of the top but not past that point. I have one nick on the bottom side I would consider a small divot but I just stay away from that area.
