    I think streich reimen is basically german for paddle strop, not a brand name.

    This was one of those "aha!" moments, thanks. That's kind of funny.

    Just checked, and Babelfish translates the plain English word "strop" as "streichriemen". As far as any other markings, one side of the leather on mine says "Weltmeister".

    So here are two pics of my Weltmeister streichreimen, borrowed from the thread in which I bought it:
